Fidelina

"Do everything with love, especialmente when it is hard."

Background

Fidelina is a healer from Mexico. Her husband passed away recently before the events of the game. She has at least two daughters, one of whom was to be born with the talents of the curandera, but she was cursed by a witch - who Fidelina refers to as "un bruja" - before the birth, taking her talents.

With technology on the rise, Fidelina's family and community began to turn away from looking to the curanderas to seeking medical doctors. Fidelina regards doctors as "like brujas, but with good intentions." She tried to teach a young woman who showed promise, but the woman eventually left for the city and renounced the ways of the curandera as witchcraft, which Fidelina took great offense to. Now she travels, the last curandera of her family, looking for a new apprentice before she passes away and the knowledge is lost.

Interactions with the Player

Fidelina can originally be found outside of Santa Fe, NM, and travels around in the Southwest region. Upon reaching Chapter 3 with her, she gives you a small metal figure of a horse with a red ribbon that teleports you back to Santa Fe.

True Form

Fidelina's true form is herself, but with a halo around her head like a saint, her arms open wide, her skin blue and purple, and with smoke and flowers at her feet.
